Reviews Summary
Visitors describe the Hinau Track as a lovely, shady forest walk that's easy and family-friendly. It's perfect for a quick nature escape, with gentle ups and downs and small creek crossings. While some find it average, most appreciate its accessibility and cool environment.
"My wife and I did this lovely, shady forest walk in about 20 minutes. It meanders up and down around a couple of gullies, barely got our heart rates up. Would be ok for smaller children with some hand holding on steeper sections, there are a couple of small creek crossings, easily done by stepping on rocks in the creek bed. It starts just above the locked gate across the Mt Fyffe Rd and exits slightly higher up from where you start."

"A super easy and family friendly walk. Well maintained track although a little slippery in some parts when wet. two very small stream crossings and lots of fantails. Super easy for school age children."
Russell Berg
"Took 2 dogs and 2 kids. Was a good solid walk heading up, but not so bad that we had to take breaks, although waterfall and few view spots were great to pause at. Recommend going left at the loop. We had fun running down hill full speed at the descent part of the loop!"
