"Great views, i came on a quiet week day because every time iv tried to go there isnt a car park at all even close by and the entrance is a bit confusing. Step hill and steps so not fatty cripple friendly 🤣🙋‍♀️
The original station was damaged by a series of earthquakes and aftershocks in 2010 and 2011, and finally collapsed in 13th June 2011 after a magnitude 6.4 aftershock. Fundraising rebuild project got underway in July 2017 then reopened 2 November 2018.
Lots of several information books and boards to read about the history of the site.
One seat and a telescope."

Finding this site can be a little challenging and the roads leading here are narrow and parking spaces pretty scarce. Nevertheless the timeball tower and the surrounding gardens are worth it"
