What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Piroa Falls a beautiful and peaceful spot, with the short walk through native bush being a highlight. The powerful falls after rain are impressive, and the picnic area is a lovely addition. However, the need to cross a potentially deep river and the gravel road access are points to consider.
"10 minute drive on a gravel track to the sign. Easy 2 min walk down to the river and the falls but you do have to cross the river to get to the spot where you can see the falls properly and will all the recent rain it was shoe deep! But the falls are so powerful right now. You can’t see them full on as you might be able to during summer but decent none the less."

"Nice little waterfalls hidden down the road. It has a picnic area with the table and chairs, can probably fit 4 to 6 people.
Heads up though, there is no cell reception around the area."
Carla Mariscal
"Great drive to Piroa Falls. Looks like road is regularly graded. If your short on time, give this a miss. It's only a 400m return journey and you only see a part of the waterfall. If you have time, it's a great spot for a quiet lunch with the sounds of a waterfall."
