What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Cape Wanbrow, particularly its fantastic mountain bike trails and stunning panoramic views over Oamaru. It's considered a hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts. Some minor concerns were raised about shared trail etiquette, especially regarding dogs on steeper paths.
"What an awesome mountain bike area!! There are some very cool up and down tracks. Definitely need to use Trailforks to get around as it can get a bit confusing, but after a lap or so, you get the hang of it it and it is pretty easy to smash out some good laps. There are a couple of awesome downhill tracks. John's track to Goat track and Connor's tracks being our favorites. This place is definitely an asset to Oamaru and we will definitely be back to ride here again."
Damian Hancock
"I wish the dog walkers would keep off tracks like Goat Track and Seaview. There are plenty of other less steep tracks where they are much less likely to meet a mountain bike coming down. Common sense I say. I met the same person and dog on these tracks two rides in a row. You are putting everyone at risk including your beloved animal."

"Great walk and even better bike tracks"
