What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Queenstown Bay is celebrated for its stunning natural beauty, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Visitors rave about the picturesque lakefront, ideal for leisurely strolls and stone skipping, and the breathtaking mountain vistas. While the town buzzes with activity, the bay provides a peaceful escape.
"It has been quite a long while since I last visited but the main beach is an excellent spot to just relax in one of the world’s best kept points. You could grab a burger from Ferberger, or an ice cream from the nearby store and indulge.
I reckon the best time to visit is during August-September when it is still cold, but not too cold. At least there will be some memorable views off in the distance with snow covered mountains and a tranquil lake. Be prepared to make new friends with the ducks! They add to the spectacular nature aspect.
This is just a see for yourself location!"
Straan Wadsworth
"Queenstown is a very photogenic place an nowhere more so than the town's lakefront. If the weather is benign this is always a great place to wander or find a restaurant or a bar sit in."
Bernard Savage
"Probably was too cold for us to have a swim - but still this was certainly a terrific beach area. There are restrooms in the area and a play area for kids. It is a fairly popular area."
