"Very nice walk on the Rotorua Lakefront. Views are very good with a good many domestic geese, Canada goose and Black swans roaming/swimming around. You can also spot Australian Swamphen.
Children's play area and park nearby. There is also some sculptures and a Maori boat exhibit. Must visit spot in Rotorua."

"I hadn’t been back to the waterfront since these renovations, and I was very impressed.
I am always in two minds whether to touch nature for it to be appreciated or let it be, but I feel whoever was involved in this design and execution has really nailed it. It seems to compliment and intertwine with the lake, as opposed the previous set up which felt like something had been recklessly placed on it.
It’s evoking and curious, and really invites you to be present in the lakes presence.
With a little bit of luck, the design to capture and enjoy natures beauty will be respected and stay clean.
The appeal to stop and enjoy the lake for a moment each time just became mandatory, as opposed to a ‘take it or leave it’.
That’s a win. 💎🔮🪄🦢🛶🌊"
