"There are three tracks to reach the top. One is through the beach and then to the track. The average time is 30 minutes. The second track is to follow the road that goes to an end and then walk up the track. The time to reach the top is 29 minutes. The third is to take a vehicle which will take a minute or two. There is a car park where you can park your vehicle. The view is spectacular on a bright sunny day. The track is all up but possible. You do not have to pay to visit this historical hill. It is a great place to see the sunrise and sunset."

"Great views over the bay. Access drive up, lots of parking or for the more active from Russell walk up Wellington St at end of boat ramp area. About half way on left access to bush track. Easy walk, approx 20 minutes. Exit onto road, follow about 200 metres and another track on right. Walk up stairs. Beautiful views. Exit via lower carpark into Wellington St."

🚶 Active Explorers & Hikers
If you're looking for a more adventurous approach, consider timing your hike with the sunrise or sunset for an even more memorable experience. Just be mindful of the tide if you choose the beach track, and carry a headlamp if you plan to descend after dark. The rewarding views from the summit are the perfect motivation to push through the climb.
