"We rode Wahi to Paeroa and return.
This trail is mostly flat with a few tight corners and dips at the Wahi end.
Lots to see along the way.

Going back next weekend."

"I have walked and biked this trail many times and still find the section between Paeroa and Waihi to be the most enjoyable and interesting. Great to see the latest improvements, the smoothing out of the grunchy corners at the Waihi end. Worth taking the time to explore the gold mining area."
Helen Wenley
"For our wedding anniversary we completed most of the trail including Thames, Paeroa, Waihi, Te Aroha and Matamata over 4 days. (the trail from Kaiaua was closed) this was our first time riding multiple day long distance, but it won't be our last.
It was so enjoyable and a thrill to complete such a large goal.
We had it well planned out, and the weather stayed fine for us most of the way, carrying all our luggage with us on bike bags. Had someone drop us off and pick us up. Stayed in hotels that we booked about 1 week in advance just in case it looked like a storm would hit.
It's wonderful to meet friendly people and to see the picturesque scenery by bike and really take it all in."
