The close-up interactions were a real highlight—especially with the cheeky kea and the ever-eager ducks. Kids seemed to love feeding the ducks (duck food can be bought at the visitor centre) and watching the eels during feeding time, and it's a great place for families to connect with nature in a relaxed setting.
