"This beautiful PINNACLES walk is absolutely AMAZING!!
We hiked to the top and back down in 6 hours with breaks. Be prepared with layers, food and plenty of water. A challenging walk in areas - so I definitely think a good level of fitness is required. It was a great LEG WORK OUT!!! We had absolutely stunning weather, could definitely be slippery if wet conditions - I would advise walking poles then for a good option.
The hutt was a great place for lunch. The walk from the hutt to the top is definitely the "EPIC " part of the walk - the views are SO worth it!!! Another beautiful walk in NZ 🧡🇳🇿"

"Beautiful views, but be wary there is still a lot of track damage from the floods and cyclone earlier in 2023. Very rocky and challenging track up to the hut. Approx 3hrs to the hut and 45mins to the peak."
Jarrod White (Jarsky)
"Kauaeranga Valley Trail parking serves as the starting point for the track. Like most DOC sites, it features a shoe cleaning station. There is ample parking, but during peak season, you may need to park further away. Plan accordingly!"
