What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mistletoe Bay is highly recommended by many for its stunning location on the Queen Charlotte Track and its eco-friendly ethos. Visitors praise the beautiful bay, kayaking opportunities, and the magical glowworm sightings. However, some reviews mention issues with cleanliness in accommodations and less-than-ideal management interactions.
"Amazing campsite - well worth the drive. Beautiful, quiet bay and they rent kayaks for you to paddle out. Very nice managers who have a small shop which sells icecreams. Perfect place to walk up to one of the best lookouts on the Queen Charlotte Track – we arrived at the lookout at 9:30am and were able to see both the Interislander ferries – one leaving Picton & other arriving. Short walk to see glowworms in the stream at night. Very highly recommended."

"Manager hostile and rude to a large bunch of people in the kitchen, reception closed during advertised opening hours. Bathrooms dirtier and less well kept than some DOC long drops."

"Very well located campsite & cabins with direct access to the sea and Queen Charlotte Track. Ok for an overnight stay. Cabins offer a good amount of space but are not very clean. Not the best price value ratio. Must pay for linen and take your rubbish with you. Water is treatet at the spot but does not look very clear. Management is ok but could be more focussed on the customer. I would not stay there a second time."
