"I totally enjoyed visiting this fish market. It a joy to know that our waters harbour a vast variety of fishes, clams, prawns and my all time first experience is a very flat pinkish fish.
I had a nice time with the market women."

"The Epe Fish Market is the largest fish market in Lagos.
It's located in VERY close proximity to the Lagos lagoon and has a unique species of fish and other aquatic animals (crayfish, crabs, prawns, crocodiles etc)
I saw the BIGGEST fishes I have ever come across in my life in their fresh state. A dialogue with the market women reveals this fishes go for as high as #200,000 depending on the species.
There's a fishing storage facility on site but didn't seem to be in use.
An intentional approach should be adopted towards keeping the market clean and managing the pungent smell from fish..
Google maps is accurate so locating the market wasn't a hassle."

"You get fresh fish here, and they cam kill them for you and smoke them. They get it from the river directly. The environment is not so neat probably because of the nature of the business there but they can work better to make it more organised and healthy."
