"Really good general experience. I enjoyed climbing the great steps and getting to the top of the hills .sadly some of the attractions like Noah's Ark, The footprint, and Mysterious Mats were not accessible but don't let that stop you, you will still enjoy the experience."

"Last week I took a trip to Akure, and thought it was the perfect time to explore Idanre Hills since it's very close by.
Even though it was raining and the total opposite of weather to explore, I still took 45mins journey to Idanre Hills.
The place is rich in cultural, historical and traditional values. Of course my most treasure experience there was running the 682 steps and hiking."

"It was an awemazzzzing experience. We were lucky to have gone there when the weather was really cool. The tour guide did an amazing job taking us round and telling us the history about the place. We climbed over 600 steps before getting to the peak of the hills.
I will suggest you wear something very comfortable for you to walk in because it’s a long walk. We walked/climbed for over 2 hours. The tour guide was really friendly and very patient with us.
I will definitely go back there again. It’s more fun when you are in a group"

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
If you do decide to climb, take frequent breaks, carry plenty of snacks and water, and perhaps focus on exploring the lower accessible areas and the historical sites at the base. Hiring a guide can also help keep children engaged with stories and historical facts. For very young children, a stroller is not feasible, and a carrier might be necessary for parts of the journey.
💰 Budget Travelers
To save money, consider traveling in a group to share transportation costs. Pack your own food and water to avoid purchasing them at inflated prices on-site. Public transport options, while potentially less direct, can also be more economical than private taxis.

While many solo travelers enjoy the experience, it's advisable to be aware of your surroundings and consider hiring a local guide for safety and to gain deeper insights into the site's history and culture. Inform someone of your travel plans and expected return time.
