"Orthodox Church Saint Archangel Michael is a cave monastery. The key is located in the restaurant. Just ask for it. There are tours from Ohrid, but are over 120USD-I paid a local 20USD and bought him lunch. Beautiful church, easy to climb to with amazing views. I even found a tortoise up there."

"On a public holiday it was closed. I’m not sure if it’s because it was in December or because it was a public holiday. You can visit the other one near another town. Bus from Struga was 60 dinar. Here’s the bus schedule."

Capturing the Scenery: Photography Tips
When photographing the interior, focus on the preserved frescoes. While lighting can be challenging in a cave environment, try to capture the details and colors of these ancient artworks. Consider the play of light and shadow within the cave to add depth to your images.
Timing is crucial for the best photographic results. Visiting during the golden hours of early morning or late afternoon will provide softer, more flattering light for both the landscape and the church itself. These times also tend to have fewer visitors, allowing for more unhurried shooting and better compositions.
