What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Bordalsgjelet Gorge's breathtaking beauty and unique geological formations, describing it as a magical and serene escape into nature. While the main path is easy and parking is convenient, some note that venturing deeper can be challenging and parking can be tricky during peak times.
"Write Bordalsgjelet in Google maps, this leads you right to parking only short 50 meter walk from the main path. Room for about 8-10 cars. We visited at 18.00 hours. Plenty of space. Only 10 meters from the parking is the bridge. Walk down to the middle of the bridge and you can see all the way down to the river, far down in the Gorge. There is a steep path right by the bridge where you can walk down under the bridge to an information sign. Steep, be careful. Walk about 70 meters up the hill where there is a path on the left. This is a steep path to the Gorge. I chose not to go all the way to the end of the path. There was about 3 Silver Birch trees that had fallen over the path. See picture. It was passable, but the overhang was wet and I decided to return..."

The dramatic rock formations, lush greenery, and the calming sound of rushing water create a serene and almost magical atmosphere. It’s a peaceful escape into nature, perfect for a quiet walk or simply soaking in the incredible scenery.
The only downside is that finding a parking spot can be a bit tricky, especially during busy times. But once you’re there, the experience more than makes up for the hassle. A must-visit if you’re in the Voss area."

"Really short, easy hike for families. The view is really beautiful and the trail is well maintained. It was just really short, so there wasn't much to it."
