Visiting Frederikstad – local knowledge appreciated!
Okay, not really. I mean, I'm not really visiting Frederikstad. I write, and my characters (one of whom is Norwegian) are going to Norway for approximately a week on a half-business, half-luxury trip. I would just like any natives or locals of the city to share their opinions on…

My husband and I are traveling with my family around Norway, and will have a few solo days without a car at the end of the trip. We both agreed we would like to find a charming little town or village to stay in rather than spend all of those days in Oslo. We are outdoorsy, love…

"We visited Fredrikstad because my wife had ancestors from this city. There is a wonderfully preserved old town with many of the buildings from centuries past. Unfortunately we were not able to visit the museum to learn more because it apparently only open on weekends, at least in May when we visited. Otherwise it was a lovely place and people were helpful and friendly in helping us with directions."
Wendell Curtis

Roy Torjussen
"Very interesting exhibition about the Second world War in Norway.
We recommand it ! Very welcoming staff."
