What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Langøyene offers a pleasant sandy beach and a peaceful island atmosphere, making it a popular day trip from Oslo. Visitors enjoy the short ferry ride and the opportunity to relax by the water. However, some recent reviews highlight concerns about beach cleanliness in certain areas and potential issues with noise and safety during overnight stays, leading to a mixed experience for some.
"I think this is the most peaceful of the Oslo islands. It’s got a nice sandy beach but also rocks near the water that you can sit on. I found some nice seashells around and when the sun got too hot, walked over to the kiosk for a slushy. It’s the perfect day out in Oslo. The ferry doesn’t even take a full 25 minutes to get there. Would definitely recommend visiting the island."

"Great place. Ferry goes there until 15th August"

"I have visited this place twice: July 2022 and August 2023. In 2022, I would have given it 5/5, but this has changed to 2/5 in 2023. Why? Hot showers have been disassembled or stolen, lots of people are playing loud music very late at night and homeless/shady types are hanging out all around. If you plan to spend the night chilling or actually sleeping - Langoyene is not a place for you."
