Reviews Summary

Norlis Antiquarian is a beloved treasure trove for book lovers, praised for its vast and diverse collection of used books, maps, and prints, as well as its cozy, nostalgic atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the knowledgeable and warm staff, and the serendipitous joy of discovering unique literary gems. Some may find the sheer volume overwhelming, but most enjoy taking their time to explore this charming Oslo institution.

"A bookstore for and by booklovers.

Inside Norlis is a treasure trove of books - old and new, in multiple languages and genres - as well as maps and prints managed by a small staff who are both warm and knowledgeable.

With floor to ceiling books and plenty of small nooks, this is a shop to take your time in and explore. The feeling is very much out of a cosy novel (think Days at the Morisaki Bookshop). Once you have found and purchased your books, there are several coffee shops in the area (including one pretty much next door) so you don't need to wait long before you start reading."

"I love book antiques. They have a great selection of books and the people who works there knows what they are doing. The place smells of old books and when you walk in, you are surrounded by the history of everything and the knowledge from all the people who came before us."
