Reviews Summary
Sildpollnes Church is visually stunning, offering iconic Lofoten scenery. However, many visitors report extremely negative experiences with the adjacent campsite owner, citing aggressive tactics for parking fees and a lack of receipts. This has led some to advise avoiding the location altogether.
"Be careful if you try to visit the church. It seems the owner of the nearby campsite has a scheme — he has blocked access to the church, and if you park on his land to take a walk, he confronts you, yells, and intimidates you until you pay for parking. There is no parking price listed on the campsite's website, and he refuses to issue a receipt. His behavior is aggressive.
Adding a photo whuch costed us €15.
Shame on you, Lofotens."

"I actually don’t even give a one star here we came to visit and we mistakenly went a bit forward to the church with our car we didn’t see the sign board that you can’t park here so we came back and parked our car in parking space which is 15 minutes and there was an old man like a working there he said you are not welcome to here and he was ready to fight and told us we go from here you can’t come to see church so if anyone see my comment let me know that you report this person he was in uniform working there and now we are going back with a negative report I don’t know what was he’s problem but I hope someday I did not see him there anymore
Well I’m proud to be Italian we have many tourist but we never told any of not to welcome"

"Don’t go there.
We tried parking on the small parking spot mentioning « max 15mins » and walk to the church. We were yelled at by an aggressive man « the owner » stating we didn’t respect anything and telling us to go away."

Understanding the Access Controversy
Several accounts describe aggressive behavior from the campsite owner, demanding payment (often around 150 NOK) without providing receipts. Some visitors were reportedly blocked from leaving until payment was made. This situation has caused significant frustration and has led some to advise others to avoid the location entirely, deeming it 'not worth the visit' due to the negative experience.
