Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Stegastein Viewpoint for its absolutely breathtaking and unparalleled views of the Aurlandsfjord. The unique architectural platform is a highlight, offering a thrilling perspective. However, some find the drive up challenging due to narrow, winding roads and potential parking difficulties.
"Drive about 8 kilometers uphill from Aurland town center, the road is all mountainous and quite rough. However, the viewing platform offers an unbeatable view. The wind is also very strong today, two of us had the scenic spot all to ourselves. Fantastic!"
Xiushan He
"My wife and I took a tour here from our Saga cruise to Norway. It was a surprising coach journey from the port, in that the road was both very narrow and very bendy, just like an alpine road! The scenery on the way up was breath-taking, as was meeting traffic that was on the way down on these narrow roads! However, on this reaching the viewpoint it was worth it. Just being able to see so far up the fjord, and the surrounding mountains and countryside was incredible. Well worth taking this trip."
Nick
"We did a detour off our Norway in a nutshell to here with a small guided tour group. The drive from Flam to here was about half a hour, the visibility was not great then, but the views from the platform were incredible."
