"Breathtaking views! We were in late March in sunny weather but clouds were coming in and out. You can see a cloud passing next to you. The view is gone and then back again ;) Amazing experience. But here you will not have the balcony as some pictures show. The balcony is a bit further in a place called “sea of clouds view deck”."

The Magic of the Khareef Season
While the fog can sometimes obscure the distant views, it adds a dramatic and ethereal quality to the experience. Visitors often describe the feeling of being enveloped in clouds as magical and unforgettable. The fresh, cool air during Khareef is a welcome respite from the usual heat of the region, making it an ideal time for exploration and relaxation.
Driving and Accessibility
It's important to be aware of the road conditions, especially during the Khareef season when fog can significantly reduce visibility. Driving cautiously and being mindful of other vehicles are crucial. While the primary viewpoint is accessible, those looking to venture further into the Jabal Samhan mountain range might find a 4x4 essential for navigating less maintained tracks.
Photography Opportunities
The most unique photographic element is the 'sea of clouds' phenomenon, especially prevalent during the Khareef season. Capturing the fog rolling in, obscuring and then revealing the valleys below, offers surreal and atmospheric images. Be prepared for rapidly changing light and weather conditions, and consider bringing a tripod for sharper shots in low light or foggy conditions.
