"Come only on Friday early morning. Try to arrive before 7am when the auction is about to start.. if you are coming from Muscat, do leave by 4:30am. Once you soak in the action and have a taste of it, you can go to nearby Nizwa Souq area for authentic morning market vibe. All these will end by 9-10am. So do come early.."

"Fun experience watching goats and cattle being sold. Got here by 6 am and there was plenty of parking around the fort and souq. There are a ton of tourists - I felt like we got in the way of the shoppers and bidders. At around 7:15-30 am the bid starts and everyone leaves a ring open while sellers bring their animals around. A unique experience and I am grateful that the Omani’s were so tolerant of all the hovering cameras and tourists (there seemed like more of us than shoppers)."

"You can only experince this on Friday 7am to 10am. Before the Friday prayer. Animals are brought in for sale in the market. Childrens of Omani were excited to watch the animals paraded for sale. We it was intense n exciting experience. A simple circle shape shade architecture. Practical for the purpose, with low wall seating area to watch. Truly amazing experience."
