Wadi shab or wadi tiwi?
Which one is your favourite and which one do you recommend I do tomorrow? I am visiting and love hiking and ideally be in a place where there aren’t many people. I hear wadi tiwi is the less crowded one but is it long enough to be considered a hike? I don’t want to just swim.…

Wadi Shab, Oman is one of my favorite destinations. The water is perfect for swimming year round.
Wadi Shab was amazing.. we thought we were lost after bumping along a dirt road for two hours before coming around the bend and seeing the entrance.
Guess the Place 🫶
Anybody knows the Place , I know already.. Hahahah
💧 Bring Plenty of Water
Stay hydrated, especially during the 45-minute hike.

The beautiful Wadi Shab Canyon in Oman. If you swim to the end through a small crack, there is a hidden cave and waterfall. There is also many opportunities to cliff jump.
Oman is the hidden gem of the Middle East and no one I know who has been there has been disappointed. Living in the USA, I am not sure if I would fly all the way to the area just to go to Oman, but if you are in the ME already or doing a broader trip to several countries, it’s…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Wadi Shab is overwhelmingly praised for its stunning natural beauty, particularly the hidden cave and waterfall accessible via a refreshing swim. Visitors highlight the scenic hike and clear pools as major draws, though some note the hike can be longer than expected and unmarked. It's a must-visit for its unique adventure.
"Totally awesome place with a cave experience at the end. Simply - if you visit Oman you have to see this point!! Boat trip costs 1omr and then you can start path for around 30min."

"Amazing hike, but be aware it's 45 minutes each way. Other reviewers mentioned the hike was 45 minutes and I had assumed that was round-trip. You also need to allot about 30-40 minutes for swimming to the cave and back. I arrived around 9 and ended up leaving around 12. The hike isn't marked which can be confusing if you've never been there and don't know where you're going. Essentially as long as you follow the wadi you'll be fine. The hike is beautiful, the water is clear and a gorgeous blue/green. The cave is stunning but the gap you have to pass through is extremely narrow. I didn't have an issue with it, but other hikers opted to not go in. I opted to swim without shoes and everything was fine but just about everyone else had water shoes or swam with trainers. Also, I followed the GPS to the location on the map and it took me to a completely random place. I would not follow this location. Go to the location marked wadi shab parking. Also, go early as on my way back there were A LOT of people. Arriving around 7 or 8 would be most ideal"

"Best wadi starts with one min boat ride followed by 50 min hiking through mesmerizing views and then you start swimming to have the best fresh water swimming experience. Don’t forget to come hear without water proof bag of the phone to capture the experience on camera and also have waterproof bag with you to keep the belongings with you during swim."
