Reviews Summary

Visitors find Sirkap Archaeological Site a fascinating journey through time, showcasing ancient urban planning and a remarkable history of multiculturalism and religious tolerance. While some note it may not be as preserved as sites in other countries, its historical significance and the insights gained from local guides are highly valued.

"It’s like walking through a different timeline, you get to see the remains of an ancient civilisation: as well as stepping foot in the place where multiple different people have existed one after the other.

There are a couple of tour guides who work here, they have in depth information to accompany you if you like that. It is reasonable to tip them at least 1-2k PKR, depending on how many people you are ."

Aziz Adil

"This city was built by the Greeks of Bactria in the second century BC, on foundations of old ancient city 600/700 BC. in a modern style with open streets, air conditioning, excellent sewage system, shops and prayer halls on both sides of the main street, and that too for all religions. Buddhism, Jainism, Hinduism, Greeks, atheists, Zoroastrian, and Christians, a great example of respect for each other's beliefs and ideologies."

TAHIR SULEMAN
