Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Planetarium Cusco for its insightful and engaging presentations on Inca astronomy and the captivating telescope viewing sessions. The staff's enthusiasm and humor are frequently highlighted as making the experience truly special and memorable. While some find the cost a bit high, the unique educational value and the chance to explore the southern sky make it a highly recommended alternative activity in Cusco.
"I found it a bit expensive, maybe it's just subjective, but I think it could be a bit cheaper. It's a very cool trip, they pick you up (and return you to) the city centre, you get a theoretical presentation about Inca geography, astronomy, and agriculture at first, followed by a virtual sky presentation in the dome, and finally, using real telescopes, you try (this is dependent on the weather) to find and observe some star constellation, and the planets of Mars and Jupiter. Cool and alternative trip compared to everything else offered around, and you learn a lot of interesting stuff!"

"Very insightful and funny presentation! I really enjoyed it. The views of the Moon, other planets, and Sirius were stunning! I was also impressed by the interior of the dome. We were even provided with blankets to keep warm. The staff (Family) was very kind and funny!"

"We had a group of six people do a tour and it was amazing!! The company was very responsive when setting up the tour and communicated well. They arranged for transportation and it was a short drive from Cusco. When we arrived they gave us blankets and a short presentation. Then we went and saw a planetarium show in a tent. Finally we got to look through the telescopes at several stars and planets and the moon. It was such a great experience and we highly recommend it. The people that work there are very nice and knowledgeable. They are funny and you can tell they are really excited about astrology. We are all so glad we made this part of our trip."
