"This is not a tourist area to explore. It's a private, artificial wetland under concession to the Southern mining company. To enter and take photographs or explore, you need a special permit. If you wish to visit, you can only go as far as the viewpoint. Many bird species can be found in these wetlands."

"It is regrettable that the municipal authorities of the Jorge Basadre Grohomann Province, and especially those of the Ite District jurisdiction, do NOT perform adequate and permanent maintenance to any natural tourist area such as the ITE WETLANDS. The discolored steps and others with rust are clearly visible, as well as some cracked sidewalks, caulked floors, and more. Keep in mind that this place could be a tourist development hub, but unfortunately the municipal authorities have no idea what to do and only hire staff for political reasons, not technical ones. Hopefully, this will change and improve what they have, since if this natural beauty were to be lost, it would never recover. Okay? 👍"
