The dazzling mineral collection, including a unique black light exhibit, is a major highlight. Many also appreciate the inclusion of archaeological artifacts and the stunning architecture of the building.

"Incredible experience. I thought I knew about minerals but then I went to the museum and learned that I only got the basics. At first glance, I thought the minerals weren't real, but guess what, they were. I totally recommend it."

"This museum is an underrated gem of Lima, literally! We have taken our guests and visitors several times, and it never ceases to amaze and cause wonder. Such an incredible collection of gems, crystals, and minerals like I have never seen anywhere in all my globetrotting, and a testament to Peru’s riches and diversity. They also have a pretty good collection of ceramics, textiles and archaeology objects and no mummies! This is a big plus and a big criteria of mine for seeing any museums in Peru that contain Archaeological objects. Every time we’ve gone, it has been easy to get in and no crowds or lines. Highly recommend."

Raven Diaz

"My family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teens) really enjoyed this museum! First of all, the building is absolutely stunning - remember to look around at the architecture as you wander from room to room. The huge display of minerals is amazing - so colourful and interesting. There is a dark room where you can see minerals under black light (beautiful) and many displays of mineral clusters (with scientific compounds labelled), and other pottery and artifacts. Our tickets included a short Virtual Reality experience (offered in English too) which helped to set the stage for our visit. We spent over an hour wandering around, and even our kids were engaged. There’s a nice gift shop with hand-made jewellery too. Highly recommended."
