"This was an really different place to visit and boy are they serious about safety (check out our head gear). After driving through stunning farm land (and a very scary dirt road) we arrived to these beautiful and very large caves. A short walk through farmland to actually enter the caves and enjoy the amazing formations."

"Spectacular cave, without a doubt one of the most impressive we’ve seen in Peru. It’s very spacious, with 4 ‘rooms’ where you can admire the different rock formations… truly amazing nature! The route is 550 meters long and takes about one hour at a slow pace. Entrance costs S/ 25 for adults, and you must be accompanied by a guide (S/ 30) and rent a helmet (S/ 3 per person). It may seem a bit expensive, but it’s absolutely worth it. The guides explain everything very well and are super friendly. The cave is also incredibly well set up, with a nicely built path and lights. It was just inaugurated in 2024! Definitely a stop in Chachapoyas!!"

"Beautiful caverns, bring a large flashlight, be silent! Follow the guides instructions! Also I recommend bringing waterproof, hiking boots, maybe waterproof pants. Lots of sticky clay so you have to be careful. Worth the visit, beautiful countryside."
