What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Lomas de Lucumo for its stunning green landscapes during winter, offering a refreshing escape from Lima's desert climate. The affordable entrance fee and the opportunity to explore unique flora and ancient art are highlights. Some find the journey a bit challenging via public transport, and recommend sturdy footwear due to muddy trails.
"The walk times listed are for a family walking, if you’re fit, healthy and can walk at a reasonable pace you can knock them down by 1/3. The views are terrific and the guides try to be helpful and fun, I do advise going there by the bus but not tour companies (or at least not leaving with them) as they take you around more sites (expensive touristy restaurants, a gimmicky mandarin field tour and wine tasting I wouldn’t recommend."

"This place is a great location to see some nature around Lima. The place is about 60min away from Lima and reachable by local busses. The entrance is 8 soles. Not many tourists come to visit as this hike is still a hidden secret. The (long) walk is about 7.5km. The shorter one might be around 5km.
The way is muddy in winter so make sure u wear some good shoes."

"Beautiful place Here and a fun SAFe experience (I was worried on the way in). a hill trek embedded in cloud. easiest way to get here is by Uber. cost us 65 Sol to get dropped off at the base. there are 2 paths (picture posted), the higher path that went left was closed due to cloud, so we turned right and went down.
Fun locals that are helpful if you know Spanish. Meals, snacks and water available locally. Safe place to come for a trek.the ground is a bit slippery due to the clay texture so maybe scuff your soles up a bit t get added grip
Enjoy!"
