Reviews Summary
Parque Natural Pucallpa offers a glimpse into Amazonian wildlife with a variety of animals, including popular capybaras and monkeys. While affordable and accessible, some visitors express concerns about animal welfare and enclosure conditions, noting that the park could benefit from further maintenance and enrichment.
"Very disappointing place. The park is dirty, dry and not maintained at all. Most of the animals are kept in tiny, sad cages, and the only ones moving around freely were a few monkeys. It was really upsetting to see the conditions, and I honestly don’t understand how the government still permits these kinds of zoos in Peru. Definitely not recommended."

"I'm not a huge "save the animals and let them all be free" advocate normally, but I do wish these animals had better enclosures, equipped with more space or at least some sort of enrichment to make their lives a bit less miserable. It was good to see some workers cleaning the cages and areas for some of the animals, but the big cats looked especially sad. Otherwise, the zoo has a lot of creatures to see and is a decent size. You don't wanna spend too much time outside in Pucallpa though because it's so hot! Thankfully the tall trees here help shade the enclosures and the guests."

"I like the place, a mix of natural zoo with some local information about. I hope it improves with care of animals and infraestructure little by little. Because of covid 19 it was reopen since three months."
