"Amazing place in beautiful nature! We spent one night here after a cool walk through the jungle guided by David, then chilled in hammocks, had a tasty dinner and watched caymans from a boat after sunset. A peaceful place perfect to have a rest. The sound of the jungle in the rooms is wonderful."

"An absolutely magical place. Our guide Wil was super kind and knowledge. We walked through the jungle and he would stop to show us various interesting plants and wildlife. We had lunch at the reserve, then went canoeing; on the other side of the lake we saw the Seiba tree; then we did artisanal fishing, caught some piranha to feed the pirarucu and the cranes. Then after dinner was the best part. We went on the canoe again, the sky was incredible. I've never seen so many stars in my life. There was glowing algae, we saw a lot of alligator eyes, we managed to see one up close and then towards the end Wil was able to pick up a baby alligator for us to see. It was amazing. He of course let it go right after. It was such a cool experience. Also Pepe the macaw came to visit us in our room. Super beautiful. I would highly recommend it. It was magic."

"Marashá is a wonderful and peaceful place to stay with family or larger groups (make sure you’re not there at the same time as a school trip of teens ;)). I was there with my two kids . We hired a local guide, Wilder, who was excellent at teaching local culture and showing the animals and birds.
We arrived via boat through the canal, but you can also walk the 2.8 km path from the Amazon to the Reserve (your backpack will go by boat). Activities we did: - kayaking on the lake to see the Ceiba, a magical 300-year-old tree. - night boat excursion and saw caimans (including a Cascudo)- walks and bird watching. - fishing and hey prospere at night what you caught! - Our guide taught us to weave palm leaves to make fans and made beautiful crowns for the kids.
If you wake up early in the morning, you can talk to the fishermen. We were lucky and they brought in a 2.5-meter Pirarucu.
Accommodation is basic.
Food is local Peruvian food, coffee, fresh drink water and Camu Camu limonade is available always.
Electricity is only from 18:00- 22:00 (bring a power back always to the Amazon!) I highly recommend staying at least 2-3 nights here."
