"Has great views of Baler and the coastline. There's an entrance fee of 50 pesos for adults and you can drive up all the way to the picnic area. I wish they maintained this place better though."

"only thing you can do here is climb up the steps to see the view. but at the top where the big cross is, theres not much to see, so we took a picture somewhere off path (better than the top but the soil is a bit soft, literally a cliff, so be careful). structures around have become ruins. no more shops too."

"Visiting Ermita Hill in Baler was both a scenic and meaningful experience. While the view from the top was stunning—overlooking the town, Sabang Beach, and the vast blue of the Pacific—it was the history behind the place that truly amazed us. We learned that Ermita Hill was the refuge of the few survivors of the tragic tsunami that struck Baler in 1735, wiping out the entire town. Standing there, imagining the families who climbed this hill to safety, gave us a deep sense of respect and reflection. The site is peaceful and well-kept, with markers and a monument that honor those who survived and rebuilt Baler. It’s not just a great spot for photos and fresh air—it’s a powerful reminder of resilience and the strength of the human spirit."
