"place is good for kids and todlers specially if its on low tide, but if you want to swim, choose to go there during high tide at day, nit at night time. sand is not too fine, some rocks and stones on the water. a bit too far to drive to. those are some of my reasons why i gave it 3 stars."

"Let me explain! The first 100m of this Patar White Sand Beach from its entrance is always flooded with tourists and kids, which will make you feel like you've come to yet another "tourist trap beach" (see my attached photos). However, if you walk all the way to the left side of the beach (like quite long, for about 300m+), you will come to the quiet and secluded part of this Patar White Sand Beach (see my attached photos). It felt really peaceful with many corals and seashells and seaweed. It is quite difficult to walk for so long on this beach due to its slope and soft sand, but I strongly recommend walking to the left side of this beach until there is no more crowd! Both my partner and I loved it."

Understanding Patar Beach's Landscape
For swimmers, Patar Beach offers a distinct advantage: the water is notably deeper compared to many other beaches in the region. This means you don't have to venture far from the shore to find a good depth for swimming, making it convenient for those who enjoy a proper swim.
However, it's important to note that the sand isn't uniformly fine, and there are rocks and stones present in the water, particularly closer to the shore. This is something to be mindful of, especially when walking in the water or if you have very young children.
Best Times for Visiting Patar Beach
If your main goal is swimming, high tide during the day is recommended. This ensures the water is deep enough for a satisfying swim without having to walk too far out.
For a truly magical experience and stunning photographic opportunities, sunset is a must-see. The colors over the ocean are described as unforgettable and create a serene ambiance. While the beach is accessible year-round, visiting during the rainy season (July-September) is possible, but it's wise to be prepared for potential rain.
Navigating Crowds and Finding Serenity
However, a key tip from seasoned visitors is to walk all the way to the left side of the beach. After about 300 meters or more, you'll find a much quieter and more secluded part. This area is ideal for those who prefer peace and quiet, and it's also where you're more likely to find interesting corals and seashells.
Be prepared for the walk on the soft sand, which can be a bit challenging due to its slope and softness. But the reward of a tranquil beach experience makes the effort worthwhile for many.
