What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Naked Island is celebrated for its stunning, bare sandbar and incredibly clear turquoise waters, making it a photographer's dream. While its pristine beauty is undeniable, visitors note the lack of amenities and potential for crowds, suggesting it's best enjoyed as a brief, scenic stop within a larger island-hopping adventure.
"The 2nd island in the Tri-Island tour. The island is quite small and way to crowded but what I love about this island is the crystal clear water. I'll rank this as one of the best sandbars in the Philippines. Very "sulit""
Edward Hunter
"Luckily it was a bit cloudy when we went there. Nice sand bank with absolutely nothing on it. Thank to the clouds it wasn’t even crowded."
Stefan Li
"If you're exploring the islands around General Luna, Naked Island is a great stop if you're looking for a relaxed beach vibe.
True to its name, it's literally just a stretch of white sand in the middle of the ocean—no trees, no shade, no buildings—completely bare and natural. That’s part of its charm, but keep that in mind when planning your visit.
It’s small, maybe a few hundred meters long, but the sand is powdery white and the water around it is stunningly clear. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you're standing in a postcard. Most people come here as part of a 3-island-hopping tour (usually along with Daku and Guyam islands), and it’s a perfect spot for photos, a quick swim, or just soaking up the sun. That said, if the weather is cloudy, it’s probably not worth the stop—the true beauty of this sandbank and the surrounding crystal-clear waters really comes to life when the sun is out and directly overhead in the middle of the day (although consider that it can be busy at that time)
Note: There are no bathrooms, drinking water, or food here, so bring your own supplies—along with something for shade if your boat doesn’t already provide it
Although, it’s a beautiful island when the sun is out, there’s isn’t much that separates this beach from others around the island of Siargao, and the fact that there’s no amenities might be inconvenient for many if you plan to spend some time here. It’s more of a tourist attraction that sees a lot of people coming and going for quick photos/videos rather than a truly relaxing beach with no one around. There are plenty of hidden gems on the mainland that provide this.
That’s why I give it 4 stars."

The Tri-Island Experience: Naked, Daku, and Guyam
Many travelers find this combination to be a perfect balance of natural beauty and local flavor. The order of visits can sometimes vary, but the overall experience is consistently praised for its value and scenic beauty. It's important to note that while Naked Island is stunning, its lack of amenities means it's best enjoyed as a shorter stop, with Daku and Guyam offering more opportunities to relax and explore.
When planning your tour, consider booking with a reputable operator. Some tours might also offer extensions to other islands like Corregidor. The Tri-Island tour is a fantastic way to see different facets of Siargao's marine environment and enjoy a day out on the water, making it a highlight for many visitors.
Navigating Naked Island: What to Expect
The beauty of Naked Island is amplified by the crystal-clear turquoise waters that surround it. The sand is incredibly fine and powdery, making it a delight to walk on. The island is relatively small, perhaps a few hundred meters long, and its unique, undeveloped nature is its main draw. It's an ideal spot for a quick swim, sunbathing, and, of course, taking those envy-inducing vacation photos.
However, the lack of amenities can be a drawback for some. While it's a fantastic photo opportunity and a refreshing stop, it's not a place to spend an entire day. Most visitors find that a 30-minute to an hour-long stop is sufficient to enjoy its beauty before moving on to the next island on their itinerary. The experience is significantly enhanced by sunny weather; cloudy days can diminish the vibrant colors of the water and sand.
