What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sugba Lagoon is overwhelmingly praised for its breathtaking natural beauty, offering a serene escape with opportunities for adventure. Visitors rave about the crystal-clear waters, stunning scenery, and activities like cliff jumping and paddleboarding. Some find the boat ride noisy and note additional costs for amenities, but the overall experience is considered a must-do in Siargao.
"Sugba Lagoon is a must-visit when you're in Siargao absolutely breathtaking. The adventure starts with a scenic 30 to 45-minute boat ride from the port to the lagoon. Just a tip: the boat engine can be really loud, so if you're sensitive to noise, bring earplugs. Each group gets assigned a boat number, and when you're ready to return, simply give that number to the staff at the lagoon and they’ll call your boat back for pickup.
Once you arrive, the view is spectacular. The water is unbelievably clear and surrounded by lush limestone hills it feels like something out of a movie. There’s a small entrance fee, and if you want a table to leave your things, there’s a separate charge. You can also rent a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) or kayak for an hour. While the area for paddling isn’t huge, it’s still fun to explore for 30 minutes or so before cooling off with a swim.
The platform jump is a highlight! The water is warm and crystal clear perfect for swimming. If you bring goggles or water shoes, you can spend time spotting fish or just floating around and soaking up the peaceful vibe. It’s a magical place that lets you slow down, disconnect, and just enjoy nature.
Highly recommend Sugba Lagoon as part of your Siargao itinerary. Whether you go solo, with friends, or on a guided tour, the experience is worth it."

"very beautiful so come try the boat ride a bit far about 45 minutes, the boat runs very noisy and there are no headphones for guests, my ears were ringing after getting off the shore but in return the scenery is very beautiful and fresh, but it will be very sunny. should bring water because inside there is a very small 5 peso cup."
