Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Maro Watchtower to be a historically significant but very small site, often accessed through a school. While its size and brevity are noted, the free admission and the coastal views from the top are appreciated. It's considered a quick stop for those interested in local history.
"Located beside an elementary school, this is another ruin in the island. This used to be a tower that they used as a lookout for Moro raiders.
Its small and has shrunk to the ground so its not that tall anymore. I am glad that the school and the National Museum has made sure this site is protected. No fees to get in."

"It was a stand alone attraction of a moro post remnant, a square frame made of 'limestone' walls, at the back of the mayor's house and beside an elementary school. Climbing the steep steps to see the view across the wall, you'll see the rooftop of some houses and probably a warehouse, surrounded by a 'kangkungan' then the sea. Worth 3 minutes of your visit, not a minute more."

"It's just some crumbling rocks in a small space between the side of a public school and a private residence accessible thru a small paved pathway. I appreciate the history but the again there's nothing much to do or see there."
