What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ortiz Wharf serves as a functional, albeit chaotic, gateway to Guimaras. While it offers an economical way to travel, visitors should be prepared for crowded conditions, a fast-paced boarding process, and a lack of amenities like waiting areas. Many recommend chartering a private boat for a more comfortable experience.
"This is the jump-off point to the southern part of Guimaras. Not tourist friendly. Be prepared to move fast if ever you arrive here during rush hours. There are no decent waiting areas so come prepared for cover from the sun or the rain especially if you're traveling as a group. Keep your valuables close to you. Regular trips start at 6am and ends at 6/7pm, depending on the number of passengers. You can also charter a boat should you need to travel earlier/later."

"Not as fancy as other ports. My ticket was blown-off by the wind but the porter was chill about it and still let me ride the boat."
Traveling Chubby (Travelingchubby)
"Embarrassingly bad, queuing in the sun to register your name for a boat then very unsafe and disorganised boarding particularly in the rain. Best advice is to hire a boat for yourself and your group , its very inexpensive in the larger scheme of things(500 pesos) and will greatly enhance your trip to the wonderful island of Guimaras.Note to local politicians, stop bickering and sort this out."
