What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Cebu City's historic core rich in history and significant landmarks like Fort San Pedro and Magellan's Cross. The Lapu-Lapu Monument is also a highlight. However, the intense heat, potential for crowds, and occasional hustlers can detract from the experience. Some feel there isn't much to do beyond learning the history, and navigation can be tricky.
"Easy to locate but the entrace is a bit tricky, we walked far from where we parked. Sun's extremely hot! It will be nice to have a board that says 'this way to where'.
Place is huge, there's also a guide who knows the story (unlike Magellan's Cross).
A small souvenir shop inside (but a but pricey tho)
Hustlers cannot be avoided also, specially if you want a great picture w your family."

"I would imagine that locals would flock here over the weekend or school holidays to take a dip into the clear waters! There is also some boats/kayaks (?) There are also cute little huts in the middle of water. A definite good time by the waters in a historic location.
Its true that a tourist will have nothing much to do here but to learn of the significance of Lapulapu.
If it's not on your way, you might want to give this a miss, especially if there are elders in your group.
I guess this place is best visited with a local Filipino friend on a weekend/holiday escape ✌️"
