Reviews Summary

Little Tokyo offers a vibrant cultural experience with a strong emphasis on authentic Japanese cuisine and unique shopping. Visitors praise the genuine atmosphere, delicious food, and charming shops, particularly for Sanrio and Rilakkuma fans. However, some reviews mention that certain restaurants can be overpriced, and public facilities may require more attention to hygiene.

"Oishinbo was decent. The food was okay overall, but not something I’d go out of my way for. I ordered the katsudon and didn’t really like it. Just didn’t hit the spot for me. Their California maki was pretty good, so that kind of balanced things out a bit.

My boyfriend liked his order (I honestly forgot what it was), so I guess some dishes might be better than others.

Best thing’s that the staff were super nice like genuinely kind and accommodating, which I really appreciated. But despite that, I don’t think I’ll be coming back. The food just didn’t leave much of an impression."

Yussen Kaisha

"Go elsewhere if you're looking for value. Oishinbo is overpriced considering the food quality, service, and ambiance. We ordered spicy salmon roll, karaage, and beer. The roll had a few little pieces of sashimi, drizzled with what seems to be tabasco sauce and surrounded by cheap and watery rice. Karaage meat was juicy but tastes bland that we had to ask for mayo and salt. The oil smelled like it was used several times already.
The servers were talking loudly. The aircon seemed to have a hard time getting the room cold. There was a mosquito and a fly buzzing around.
The only positive in this experience was having beer and some fresh vegetables to cleanse my palate."

Jm

"Great place when you want to dine japanese cuisine walking through an alley then 'round the corner is a tiny japqn alley vibe. Good food, service and lazy alley cats.

Public CR may need more hygiene cleaning and an update."
