What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Balicasag Island is celebrated for its stunning marine life, including abundant sea turtles and vibrant coral gardens, offering a surreal snorkeling and diving experience. While the natural beauty is undeniable, some visitors note concerns about litter on the shore and the cost of amenities on the island. The process for snorkeling can sometimes involve waiting times for guides.
"Beautiful marine life but needs better care
Marine life was amazing. we saw turtles and fed the fish (the guide provided the food). Locals were friendly and the nature is still very unique.
However, it’s disappointing to see trash along the shore. We visited 18 years ago and it was much cleaner. If there’s an environmental fee, I hope it’s used properly. Tourists and locals should respect the place and take their rubbish with them."

"If you plan on going snorkeling here, they will ask you to pay before you hop on a boat. This is non-refundable. On the island, you have to submit your receipt to an office and wait to be called. After an hour of waiting (because there are only a limited number of guides compared to the number of tourists), we decided not to wait any longer and just proceed with the next leg of our island hopping.
The island itself is OK, just as what you would expect from any other island here. Complete with places to eat, comfort rooms, and snorkeling equipment for rent."
Kompyuters At Iba Pa
"We had a wonderful time snorkeling and we aren’t great swimmers but were well looked after by the guides.
The guides also took pics and videos of us swimming which was awesome.
The fish are many and varied and there are a variety of soft and hard corals.
If you are looking for Nemo and Dorey they can be found there as you go towards the reef drop off.
Also the turtle swimming is superb and surreal."
