Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Nova Shell Museum for its extensive and fascinating private collection of shells, with many highlighting the educational value and the unique specimens. However, some reviewers note that the museum is small, could benefit from renovations, and that the availability of guides can be inconsistent, impacting the overall learning experience for some.

"The Nova Shell Museum in Bohol is a hidden treasure, and what truly made our visit exceptional was our incredibly knowledgeable tour guide. Their passion for shells and marine life shone through every explanation, making even the most intricate details fascinating. We learned so much, thanks to their super smart insights and ability to share information in such an engaging way. The collection itself is stunning, but it's the expertise of the guide that elevates this museum to a must-see! Please be aware that there is an anterence fee and the museum is limited to two rooms right now, so it's small but filled with facinating shells. Four stars for an educational and truly memorable experience."

"This was one of the stops in our BOHOL tour.

Here, you can see different kinds of shells found in BOHOL. The museum tour guide explained the origin of each shell. It was informative.

Is it worth visiting? I don't think so.

Their pearl earrings were also overpriced around 750 per pair, but when I checked outside, they were only about 150. My mistake for buying.

If we go back to BOHOL, this is one place we won’t visit again."

Anjhel Zyra

"There was a guide explaining the details of the museum, but she only work for bigs groups, it upset me a lot cuz im learning about shell and i am really interested but you know, no money no honey, she only want the tips from the big groups."
