What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Baclaran Church is a deeply revered spiritual hub, praised for its inclusivity and the profound devotion it inspires. While the church interior offers peace, the surrounding area is bustling. Visitors appreciate the accessibility and the meaningful masses, though some note cleanliness concerns in adjacent areas and the intense crowds during peak times.
"We visit this church every single Tuesday of the month for a whole three years, it always have a parking waiting for us however, the hallway entrance before the parking is a bit crowded and filled with people marching all over the place and shopping but it wouldn’t affect the whole performance of the whole shine. When it was Easter, I was a bit scared since all of the saints and statues were covered in purple fabric due to a specific reason. We stood firm in our faith and kept praying not to hope for miracles or something to happen in our life. But because we enjoy being in the presence of our Lord and Savior. And I meant every word. This is such a great and graceful place to say your prayers and silent wishes :)))"

"The best way to get here is by taking the LRT line 1, getting off at the Aseana/Redemptorist Station and walking across the overpass thats leads directly to the Church.
Parking space may be limited specially every Wednesday."

"Baclaran Church (National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help)
Baclaran Church, formally known as the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, is one of the most iconic and spiritually significant churches in the Philippines. Located in Parañaque City, it draws millions of devotees each year, especially on Wednesdays—popularly known as Baclaran Day—when novena prayers are held.
The architecture is striking, featuring a grand Romanesque-Modern style that reflects both reverence and resilience. The church’s high ceilings and spacious interiors create a sense of solemnity, while its stained-glass windows add color and warmth. Despite the constant crowd, there’s a palpable sense of peace inside.
Outside, the atmosphere is vibrant and bustling. Vendors line the streets, selling religious items, food, and souvenirs. While this may seem chaotic to some, it adds to the character and life surrounding the shrine.
Baclaran Church is more than just a religious site—it’s a symbol of Filipino faith and perseverance. The devotion shown by visitors from all walks of life is moving and speaks volumes about the church’s role in people’s lives. Whether you're a pilgrim, a tourist, or simply curious, a visit to Baclaran offers a unique glimpse into the heart of Filipino spirituality and culture."
