What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus for its magnificent and spacious architecture, particularly the beautiful stained glass windows depicting the saint's life. The solemn atmosphere and unique post-mass anointing of oil are highlighted as meaningful spiritual experiences. However, some note concerns about the upkeep of exterior grounds and the sound system's clarity in the large space.
"On a Monday, I attended one of the shortest but most meaningful masses here.
The church is so big that it would look like only a few attended the mass.
The priest also anoints oil on all after the mass, which is quite unique.
The church is just across the Belmont Hotel, where I stayed for a night. There are also restaurants and fast food in the area."

"This Shrine dedicated to St Therese of the Child Jesus is so big and wide. I was lucky to have attended the mass last night as it was the 100th anniversary of St Therese’ canonization.
The stained glass featuring the life of St Therese is something to gape at. The air conditioning may not be that cooling probably because of the extreme heat outside, but the giant ceiling fan helped circulate the air.
My only question is, are those steep stone steps the only way to enter the Shrine?"
