What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise the Sabang Zipline for its thrilling ride, stunning ocean and mountain views, and reasonable price. The experience is often described as a highlight of a Palawan trip. However, some note that the trek can be challenging in the heat, signage is lacking, and customer service could be improved. The landing procedure and potential additional fees for facilities are also points of minor concern for some.
"Our weather wasn’t great due to rain but the experience is still worth doing. You get a small boat to a very remote beach and then take a small trek about 10-15 to the start point. From there you’re kitted up and sent on your way. The experience felt safe at all times and was well worth it. The stopping procedure is quite brutal so this activity probably isn’t for those with any back problems"

"It's a great zipline above the water. The scenery is great. It felt like it finished too quickly for us .it was probably because we had a little problem with our video. It can be ridden as solo or couples. It's very enjoyable. A senior lady told me later on she hasitated and she wasn't sure if she handled it so she didn't go. I saw another senior lady riding it before us, so I don't see a problem if the person is comfortable with height. Lenght isn't a problem. It's rather enjoyable. The speed is pretty good, no crazy fast. Landing is very safe. There are breaks towards the end, which slows you down very quickly and effectively. The guys there also help immediately to get off the harness.
Going there was a little confusing at first. After the raft, we were instructed to turn right and continue. It's a long beach to cross until the trail, which takes you up to the zipline. Until the trail, there are no signposts, but when you see people coming down with the zipline, it's not difficult to figure out which direction to go. Just look around to observe the zipline start and end points. It's impossible to miss it. Waiting may be long depending on the people. We arranged it in a morning around 10 am pick up from the hotel. At the time of booking they ask what time you want. We thought we'd be back by 11 am, but it wasn't the case. We waited in the queue for quite long. We were happy that we didn't have an early transfer arranged to PP.

"There is a great zipline on the water. The view is great. You can ride alone or as a couple. It was very enjoyable. The speed is quite good, not too fast. The descent is quite safe. There are breaks towards the end, which slows you down very quickly and effectively. The guys there also help you get out of the harness immediately. To get there, you need to take a long walk on the beach, then follow the path and climb the hill. It is a bit challenging to make a steep climb in the hot and humid weather. There are no signs up to the path, but when you see people going down the zipline, it is not hard to understand which way to go. We arranged to be picked up from the hotel around 10:00 in the morning. They told us it would take 45 minutes in total. We thought we would be back at 11:00, but it was not like that. We waited in line after climbing the hill for quite a long time. It took us about 1 minute to get down. It was short but very fun. The view was magnificent. If you have a time in Sabang, you should try zipline."

Navigating to Sabang
For those seeking more convenience, van transfers or private car hires are also available, though these will be more expensive. Upon arrival in Sabang, you'll typically take a short boat ride across the water to reach the vicinity of the zipline. This adds to the adventure and offers a different perspective of the coastal landscape. Remember to factor in these transfer times when planning your day, especially if you intend to combine it with other nearby attractions like the Underground River.
The Zipline Experience and Trek
Getting to the zipline launch point involves a bit of an adventure. After the initial boat ride, there's a walk along the beach, followed by a short trek uphill to the platform. This hike can be a bit strenuous, especially in the heat and humidity, so wearing appropriate footwear and bringing water is highly recommended. While signage can be sparse, spotting the zipline infrastructure or other visitors heading up usually makes it easy to find your way. The landing is designed to be safe, with effective braking systems and helpful staff to assist you off the harness.
Value and Practicalities
While the zipline ride itself is relatively short, the entire experience, including the transfers, trek, and potential waiting times, can take a significant portion of your day. Many visitors choose to combine the zipline with the Puerto Princesa Underground River, making it a full-day itinerary. This combination is popular because both attractions are located in the Sabang area, optimizing travel time. Planning your day to include both can be a very rewarding way to experience the natural wonders of Palawan.
