What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Puka Shell Beach is praised for its tranquil atmosphere, clear waters, and unique shell-filled sand, offering a peaceful escape from Boracay's busier areas. While some find the sand coarser and snorkeling limited, the breathtaking sunsets and relaxing vibe make it a highly recommended spot for a serene beach day.
"Very nice beach so quiet far away from crowded place. If you love swimming with no disturbances or less crowd around this is a nice beach to stay for the day."
Apolonio Rellon
"A lively yet much less crowded beach compared to White Beach. The water is a beautiful, clear blue, and the sand is soft and clean—with no algae in sight. While snorkeling isn't great here since fish are mostly farther out (if any), the long shoreline offers plenty of space to relax. In the middle, there’s a charming palm grove with hammocks and mats—perfect for unwinding. And the sunset? Absolutely breathtaking!"
Anano Aspanidze (მელა)
"When I heard of Puka Beach I imagined a pristine beach so isolated that you can have it by yourself and Western foreigners going there go topless, if not completely nude.
That wasn't the case when I got there recently on a Boracay Land Tour together with our team building entourage. The road leading to it are lined on both sides by houses and commercial establishments. The strip of Boracay white-sand beach opens with a "talipapa" for souvenir shops and not far across it is a high-rise hotel undergoing construction.
Even with the crowd, Puka remains a scenic spot to take pictures. The water is emerald green and the rolling surf approaching the sand is foaming and white. For the most part, the edge of the beach measuring a kilometer in length is grown with coconuts and natural coastal plants."
