Visitors praise the Vargas Museum for its affordable entrance fees and impressive collection of Filipino art, including works by renowned masters and intriguing contemporary exhibits. While some sections might be under reorganization, the accessible pricing and the depth of the displayed art make it a highly recommended cultural destination for both locals and tourists seeking an authentic art experience.
"This museum houses an eclectic collections of paintings, stamps, coins, personal items of Jorge Vargas which he bequeathed to the university, plus an evolving exhibitions. Unfortunately, when I visited in April, only the paintings were on display and everything else was being re-organised and closed to the public. My favourite painting was "Idilio" by Juan Luna which reminded me of the Art Nouveau in Europe.
The upper floor also had a exhibition on Yugoslav Naif art, which were fantastic display of surreal, fantasy and folklore painting on glass"
