What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Siargao island hopping tours receive mixed reviews. While many praise the stunning natural beauty, well-organized private tours, and magical experiences, some travelers report significant disorganization, long waiting times for boats, and unprofessional tour guides on group tours. Communication issues after booking are also a concern for some.
"I wanted to organise my engagement and found this tour company on Google reviews. I messaged a few companies to see how they responded, and Arlene was prompt, answering all my questions from the beginning. I requested a private tour and asked for suggestions on where to catch the sunset, which they were happy to assist with.
They allowed me to reorder the island visits to suit my accommodation. The night before, it poured rain in the afternoon, and Arlene was available to message at all hours. I requested snorkeling and rescheduled the tour for early morning, just after sunrise, to avoid the crowds. It was amazing.
My tour guide, Ahoy, took as many photos as we wanted and helped with locations and support throughout the session. They picked us up from the hotel and we did depart 25 mins late due to the driver being late but it was fine and we weren’t in a rush. Also because it was private we had the freedom to go wherever we wanted. We did miss out on going to one island due to the tide but was told this in advance. The total cost for two people, including snorkeling hire and the private tour, was 7,100 (2025). For the memories made, it was well worth it.
Thank you, Arlene and the team, for all the help—it was magical!"

"Writing this from the Tourist Port on the morning of our trip. We haven’t even started the tour yet and I already feel the need to write a review. We were told pick-up was 7:30-8:15 so waited outside our accommodation from 7:30 and was finally picked up at 8:40 after a lot of back and fourth with the company. We finally got to the office and they walked us to the port… we’ve now been waiting here for nearly an hour and have not been given any information except ‘there is a shortage of boats’ - did they not reserve a boat yesterday after booking 18 guests on to a boat trip?!? Honestly shocking disorganised- AVOID BOOKING
We only booked this because the other tours have a cut of time to book the day before and we were unfortunately too late. If you’re more organised than us definitely book a different tour provider instead."

"Before reaching the famous Sugba lagoon . You have to cross first the crocodile lake , it took more or less 30 minutes boat travel before reaching the destination . Once you cross the lake , you’ll observe beautiful islets and various mangrove trees that serves as natural habitat of marine animals."

Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
When exploring inland, the Maasin River offers a scenic and gentle experience. Consider booking private tours to have more control over the pace and activities, ensuring it suits your children's energy levels. Many accommodations are family-friendly, and some offer kid-specific activities. Always prioritize safety, especially around water, and ensure children have adequate sun protection.

Opt for group island hopping tours instead of private ones, and consider eating at local carinderias (eateries) for affordable and authentic meals. Renting a motorbike is also a cost-effective way to explore the island independently. Some TikTok creators share detailed budget breakdowns for trips, which can be very helpful.
🏄♀️ Surfers and Adventure Seekers
Beyond surfing, adventure seekers can enjoy paddleboarding at Sugba Lagoon, exploring Tayangban Cave Pool, and scuba diving (though diving is more prominent in other parts of the Philippines, Siargao offers opportunities).
