What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Batlag Falls is praised for its magical, secluded atmosphere and refreshing, clear waters, offering a tranquil escape near Manila. While the multi-tiered entrance fees and less-maintained facilities at Batlag compared to Daranak are noted drawbacks, the natural beauty and serene environment make it a worthwhile destination for many.
"THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: (02/26/2024)
- Batlag Falls is inside the Daranak Falls compound.
- The entrance fee is 175pesos. 75 for Daranak then another 100 to go inside Batlag (prices are per person). Yes, you still need to pay for Daranak even if you're not swimming there.
- PRICE ENTRANCE UPDATE! (02/25/2025) 180pesos per person. Daranak had a price increase.
- There are 3 falls inside Batlag. The main one which is just waist deep. Then the single drop waterfall (beside the main) which is maybe around 5-6ft. deep. Then the "secret lagoon" aka blue lagoon which needs a bit of trekking, not sure how deep. Just ask the life guard where it is located. We didn't go there anymore.
- There are tables and sheds for rent. We paid 300pesos for our table. I noticed that the rent there is more expensive than the ones in Daranak.
- The bathrooms in Batlag are not good. The ones in Daranak are more maintained. Even the sheds and tables are better in Daranak.
- There are also small stores where you can buy biscuits, drinks, chips, ice, cooked food, etc. Just expect the tourist pricing.
- You can also rent life vests, ring floaters, and lockers."

"I love this waterfalls, it almost looks like Tumalog Falls of Cebu, smaller version tho. You will pay another 100pesos entrance fee if you want to access Batlag Falls. The Waterfalls is located on the other side of the slope beside Daranak Falls. The Falls and the area around Batlag feels like magical โบ๏ธ"

"If you're looking for a hidden gem tucked away in nature, Batlag Falls is a must-visit destination. Its just 1.half hour from metro manila, located near the more popular Daranak Falls, Batlag offers a more secluded and serene experience. The crystal-clear waters cascade down moss-covered rocks into a refreshing pool, perfect for a swim.
While Daranak attracts larger groups with its accessibility and spacious surroundings, Batlag offers a hidden escape just a short hike away. With fewer people and a more tranquil environment."
