Reviews Summary

Visitors find Fort Santa Isabel to be a well-preserved historical site offering beautiful ocean views and a glimpse into Taytay's past. While some note it's a relatively small attraction with limited exhibits, its charm, historical significance, and photographic potential make it a worthwhile stop for those passing through the area.

"Thanks to kuya John Steve for a fantastic tour through Fort Santa Isabel and a trip through history. The fort has a varied history stretching back to 1667.
The construction of the fort using a mixture of stone and local coral leads to a unique look in a structure hundreds of years old even among other Spanish colonial forts for the time.
The chapel on top of the fort is also well worth checking out.
Overall a fantastic preservation of history and well worth the visit"

Rory Pomroy-Miller (Rozza)

"Quite an interesting place to visit but there really isn’t much to see except for the facade and the chapel and a couple of cannons. The entrance fee was Php80 per person and the adjacent toilet was not open for use."

Trixie Ballesteros

"We visited this fortress while on the road in Palawan. It is a nice stop for a break. The entrance fee is 80PHP/person. The fort is decorated beautifully with plants and flowers. There is one room which has some information about the history of the fort and the city of Taytay. After that you can enjoy the stunning views over the ocean from the walls. It is a great picture opportunity. A visit won’t take long, after about 30 minutes you have seen the whole fortress. If you are in the area and are looking for something small to do, this might be it!"
