Golden streets, amber skies, and Gdańsk magic by @roxispoxi ✨ 💡Gdańsk is famous for Baltic amber, often called “the gold of the north.” The riverside promenade is one of Gdańsk’s most scenic spots, with cafés, ships, and reflections of colorful facades. Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Baltic Coast Promenade for its beautiful Baltic Sea views and its poignant historical significance, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and reflection on World War II. While many enjoy the scenic walks and stunning sunsets, some note restrictions on beach access and the presence of military zones.

"The Gulf of Gdansk and the Baltic Sea where World War 2 started. Today, it is a promenade of casual walking area. Point to point of the promenade takes only 15-20 minutes casual walking. There are monuments, ruined buildings, watch towers, bunkers, small fort, and commemoratives of the world war 2. Great place to learn about history!"

"I enjoyed a lovely walk next to the beach. You can enjoy some stunning sunsets here.

Just to let you know, it's not actually allowed to go to the beach there. There are written warnings every few metres or so.

I'm not sure I understand why. Perhaps there are those sneaky waves like at Reynisfjara beach in Iceland? The sea looked pretty calm when we were there. Lots of people didn't seem to be aware of the sign and were just sitting, bathing, walking and lying on the beach.

Or is it because of the military zone? From what I can see on the satellite map, it looks like the beach and promenade suddenly end at the barbed wire fence. It seems a bit paradoxical when you think about what this place symbolises. The nice promenade suddenly ends at a barbed wire fence."
